I, Myself, Am Strange and Unusual
It's a great line from a movie, but I believe it fits me. I'm not normal, and I'm comfortable with it. I wasn't always, though. I used to want to fit in with the crowds, and have like minded friends. Sadly, that was not the case. I was poor and people talked about it. I would wear hand-me-downs and things that my mother would sew. I didn't care about that until I was bullied about it in middle school. Then high school happened.
Ah, there's the rub. I was able to get my first job in high school, and then I would be purchasing my own clothes. I didn't wear fancy brands then, and I certainly don't now. I have a dark style that you could find in Wal-Mart or something along those lines. I'm more likely to buy shoes. I love buying shoes that are not normal, either. Hell, I have a pair of canvas shoes that are Nightmare Before Christmas, which I found at Wal-Mart, thank you very much. That was a small victory that I was not going to pass up. They are awesome. I get lucky when I find cool things in my size, whether they're shoes or clothes. But shoes are especially are difficult, because my feet are a size 11. Yes, a weirdo with big feet. I refuse to start wearing men's shoes. I'm girly, gothic, and geeky. I will not wear ugly shoes. Lmao
Okay, so I got off on another tangent. But I love my shoes. What more can I say? Much love, dearies.
