Libations, Vittles, and Boredom

I'm bored, so I'm writing a post.

I'm bored, so of course what's the first thing I decide to do? Write a blog entry. Anything less would be uncouth. Lol

I love to drink and I love to eat. I am not overweight, and I am not an alcoholic. That being said, when I can, I love watching shows that involve either alcohol or food, and I used to love reading articles about beverages.

My favorite shows, for a while, were Bar Rescue and Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. Now, the only thing that the Hubbeast and I watch in my house are zombie movies. I mean, sure, zombies are great, but my attention span can only hold for so long before the umpteenth zombie has been shot, beheaded, or what have you, and I'm thinking "Thank you, next." No, I'm not channeling Ariana Grande over here. She wouldn't be interested in what the Hubbeast and I like to do when we spend time together. Lol. Take that however you want.

Anyway, it is rare for me to drink these days. Most of the time, I either have to drive to work or drive somewhere to run errands. But when I can, I love rum. I don't always drink it straight up. Sometimes, I'll drink it with a mixer. Root beer is great with it; so is Dr. Pepper, though to be fair, it really depends on the rum. The Hubbeast and I prefer spiced rum. Other rums have different combinations with types of mixers. It really depends on your preference. The combinations I mentioned are just a couple of examples. But in all honesty, you can't beat rum and coke. It's mainstream for a reason.

As I also mentioned, I do love to eat. It is one of the other simple pleasures that I can enjoy. Eating is more likely to happen when I'm bored or hungry. Snacks that I make for when I'm bored are not always healthy. I have gotten better with that, as I have cut down on sugar and soda. Sugary snacks are my downfall, so it is my resolution to not eat so much sugar. It's not really good for you in the long run, so why not cut those pesky sugary snacks out of your life? Just saying.

Anyway, so now that I have rambled on and on, I think it's a good idea to stop here. Much love, dearies.
