Tarot Meaning: Ace of Wands

I thought that we should revisit a post that I wrote a year ago on Quinn's Hideout.  It is only fitting that it is related to magick.

I was shuffling my tarot cards early this morning.  My normal way of shuffling did not work for this, because the cards are just too damn big, so I took the deck and swirled the cards around on the bed.  This card stood out among the others.  Obviously, this was important, as I have come to believe that there is no such thing as coincidences.

ace_of_wands__10192015To give you the background on this story, it has been a while since the last time I did anything divination wise.  It was only more recently that I dug out my tarot deck.  This deck, complete with a guidebook, is called Titania's Star Tarot.  This was created by Titania Hardie.  I also have a book called The Tarot Directory by Anne Lionnet.  Equipped with these two items, I wanted to make the attempt to study these and learn to be successful for any readings that I may want to do for people.  This is where it gets interesting.  A good friend of my fiancé and I was over yesterday.  He is what we call a Shaman.  He's very intuitive and a funny mofo.  We love him like a brother.  Well, he had me do a reading for him a couple of days ago.  I was really unsure, considering that I had no way of knowing how to read the cards.  I hesitated and I had some issues.  It took me a bit of doing to do it.  Yesterday, before he left to go home, he pulled out this Rider Waite tarot deck out of the car.  I did tell him that I wanted to start with an easy deck.  Funny how that worked out.  "Ask and you shall receive."

Anyway, so getting back to the main point, this card has significance.  With the Ace of Wands, according to Anne Lionnet, the key words or phrases to keep in mind are "a surge of energy" and "enthusiasm" (2002).  After reading the passage in this book about this card, I realize that I need to be extra careful on how I want to accomplish the new goal I have set for myself.  I have the tendency to get hyper about any new project and then just as quickly, it falls to the wayside because I do not follow through.  I intend to keep an eye on what happens next, but in the meantime, I need to get ready for bed.  6am will come too soon if I am not ready for it.
