The Altar

Okay.  So I have posted about what a Book of Shadows (or BoS) is and what is in a BoS.  Now we are going to touch on what an altar is.  Bare in mind, I am not completely knowledgeable about it so I am doing some serious research on it.  Therefore, I will be making this a mini-series on the subject.

Okay.  So the altar is known as sacred ritual space.  The tools and items you use for any rituals or crafting of any sort are arranged on this sacred space.  Now each setup will be different because not all witches or magickal younglings are created equal.  That being the case, there will be many different variations.  A Wiccan that follows the Gardnerian tradition may not have the same items or tools as a Shaman.  That's just an example, obviously.  But the point here is that whatever tradition or magickal path you follow, there are specific guidelines for placement and the exact tools or items.

Now this post is just the start about what is on an altar.  We will continue this later, after I consult my books and do some googling.  A KR (short for Kemetic Reconstructionist) like me can only say so much before they hit a proverbial brick wall.  And I think I gained a proverbial ouch.  Later y'all.
