Balance Within the Universe

Life and Death go hand in hand.

What do you think the meaning of Life is? There is no right or wrong answer to this question, as some people will say the answer is 42 (all my geeks will know where this reference is from).

Personally, I have always felt that Life is all about balance. A few examples would be light and dark, black and white, or even pleasure and pain.

Life itself has its own opposite counterpart: Death. Many people try not to think about this because it's quite a depressing subject. The real sad thing is that it's a natural of the universe, even if no one wants to acknowledge it.

People react different when death happens to someone they know. Anger or depression can afflict anyone who lost a loved one, depending on the situation.

I, myself, have not gotten angry much when I have lost a loved one, but I have suffered depression. It is pretty relevant to bring this up, as I have lost 3 grandparents within months of each other. It has not been easy to accept that the people I cared about the most have been buried 6 feet under. I know that their spirits are still with me, but it doesn't change the fact that I cannot pick up the phone and call them, or write them a message on Facebook, or get in the car and go visit them. Well, I was not able to do the last one because of lack of transportation, but still.

I am not sure how to define the relationship between Life and Death. That is why I will be doing research on these subjects. The more understanding I can glean from it, the better equipped I should be the next time Lady Death comes a-knocking.
