Life Up To This Point

Here's the deal.  Time for an update of what has happened in the past week and a half.

October 29th:  Hurricane Sandy hit NJ, causing us to lose power.  We lost power at 6pm.

November 2nd:  I was able to go back to work when they finally got power back.  My house still didn't have power.  I was allowed to stay at my friend's boyfriend's house because they had gotten theirs back.

November 3rd:  Stayed another night at friend's boyfriend's house, after going to work and helping her move her cat.

November 4th:  Was able to catch up on rest, because I didn't sleep for 24 hrs straight the day before.  I wasn't scheduled to work.  Helped my friend move her stuff to her apartment.  And I was able to get gas.

November 5th:  Power came on after almost a week of being off.  I brought food home from work, though I did not work that day.

November 6th:  I wasn't scheduled to work that day.  I got some things done that needed to be done, like going to Staples and ordering RAM for my laptop and getting a haircut.  In between ordering the RAM and getting the haircut, I went and had my navel pierced.  It's still sore.

November 7th:  I worked and then hung out with my friend at her boyfriend's house.  A nor'easter was supposed to hit us, but it ended up being nothing.

November 8th:  Spent most of day at my friend's boyfriend's house before going home.  I didn't have to work.

That's all the important things that had happened since the last time I wrote an entry.  It hasn't been easy.  I hope we don't get another storm like that in a long time.  Lord knows the Jersey Shore doesn't need to be hit like that again.

Pray for those who still don't have power and for the ones who have lost everything during this horrific time.
